Glass House Arts runs a 1,200 sq ft industrial-arts studio in Escondido with roll-up door access and 200 A service. The studio is equipped for fabrication of large-scale steel, aluminum, and wood sculptures.
Cut: CNC plasma, horizontal bandsaw, cutoff/cold saws, nibbler/jigsaw.
Form: 2×72 belt grinder, bending/brake fixtures, presses/hand forming, layout tables.
Join: MIG, TIG, stick; certified procedures added on award; bolted assembly with torque control.
Finish: Corten and pre-galv standard. Oil-based coatings. Linseed-oil with char for wood. For civic installs we specify hot-dip galvanizing, stainless, bronze, or Corten as appropriate.
Electrical: Low-voltage LED systems in IP-rated boxes; UV-rated cable; sealed glands/heat-shrink
Handling: Gantry, engine hoist, walk-behind forklift, chainfalls, rigging hardware; 14-ft trailer (7k lb)
PPE: Hard hats, high-vis, hearing/respiratory, eye/hand protection.
Documentation: Assembly manuals, torque specs, inspection checklists, crate and cart builds.
